I am happy with my house, although a bit bummed some of the vines broke off (but nothing glue can't fix later). If I were to make it again I would make the vines thicker so they were less likely to break. I wanted to combine my teapot and house since the beginning and I took inspiration from Baba Yaga, although I decided to shorten its legs to make it more sturdy.
Large Sculpture/Organic Shape
Plan:
- Form a shape with taped pieces of newspaper
- Wedge clay
- Put clay on shape and begin to form bust
- Continue building it up till it has a neck
- Add clay around head
- Add facial features
- Poke holes in head so it doesn't explode

I ended up scrapping this work because I did not like how it was looking and knew it was too big for me to take home. I did enjoy the process of making it but I did not want to waste the clay and fire something I would not like.
